Great wins for Coventry 2-1 at Ipswich and Portsmouth 3-2 over Watford.
Looking like Bristol City,Palace and Scunthorpe for the drop, unless things are turned around quickly.

Gordon Strachan has resigned as Middlesbrough manager after less than a year in charge at the Riverside.

Strachan departed with the club in 20th place in the Championship, their lowest league position for 20 years. "He offered his resignation but not only that - in doing so he tore up his contract," Boro chairman Steve Gibson told BBC Tees. "He sought no compensation and walked away from the club with empty hands and it's a measure of the man." Gibson added: "He (Gordon) would be the first to admit that things haven't turned out as we'd have hoped.

Portsmouth say that they are likely to fold after talks with former owner and key creditor,Sacha Gaydamak, broke down.
The club claim that Gaydamak has demanded an upfront cash payment to allow Pompey to exit administration and thereby endangered their ability to trade. He is currently owed 2.2m GBP.
The last Football League clubs to fold were Maidstone and Aldershot in 1992.

Pompey have won 4 out of their last 5 games and it would be a crying shame if this proud club went under after appearing to have survived their many problems off the pitch.

Good win for Colchester yesterday away to second placed Bournemouth, up to 6th in Div.1. ++)(*
Watch them draw at home with lowly Orient during the week. ^":>

I always like to see how newly relegated teams from the Premiership handle the Championship, which is a difficult league to get out of.
Last seasons relegared teams

Burnley - Currently in league position 8 with 21 points.
Portsmouth- " " " " " 10 with 21 points
Hull City - " " " " " 20 with 14 points

Shame for Hull, they need to get some wins behind them, only won 3 games up to now.
Burnley and Portsmouth although early in the season have a chance of promotion.
