Steve Coppell has quit BRISTOL CITY after just two games in charge of the Championship side.
Yet his two matches in charge of the side both finished in defeats with the robins being thrashed 3-0 by MILLWALL   on the opening day of the season and then being knocked out of the Carling Cup by SOUTHEND.

I have a lot of time for Steve Coppell. But as a Palace fan, he WAS manager in the Club's most successful years. <:> And I like managers who speak straight and honestly.
However, this will be the second occasion he's left a Club soon after taking up the reins. Manchester City before, although I'm not sure we ever really knew why, except 'it didn't feel right'. I wonder the explanation now, after just two games!

I would find that difficult to believe if, as the Manager, he didn't have a say in the players being acquired. But if the case, good enough reason to leave in my book. *****^^ 'Calamity' can be superb, but rather too many slips for my liking.

Ooh, what's this - the Sky Blues sitting third in the Championship after drawing to Watford? That won't last... :D
